I've been able to try a range of the Hairy As scents and love how each one is subtly different and fits with the vibe you are going for at the time. This time though I'm back to my first and I think the classic Silver Fox mix. It's just a classy scent and the butter itself melts so easily into my beard giving it a great look and some control when I'm styling.

After 40 years of facial hair or beard, as a South African Surveyor in the open air, then add an english skin, I had to cover up. Chucked the shaving habit. It took one trip to Adelaide to find the ultimate fluff food. Morning Glory is both a rejuvinating and pleasantly aromatic part to my daily groom. Even women take a sniff and get caught in a window reflection turning round. What better compliment. . It can only be the Morning Glory.

I really enjoy this beard butter. I find butters like mango, shea, and kokum really great for hair and skin so I’m happy this company has two of those butters. This butter would be quite similar to Beard Octane which is also great, but this one feels like whipped butter which I really love. So soft and absorbs in well over time. The scent is very fresh and enjoyable.

Working my way through all of Hairy As beard oil scents as well as staying with my favourites, Morning Glory is another outstanding scent in the best quality carrier oils. It really does soften my beard whilst I get to smell great. The better half loves this one, although she says the same about all of my Hairy As beard oils

I'd been wanting to try beard butter for a while; I'm very particular about what I use in my beard: I'm not big on heavily scented oils and balms, and a lot of Aussie products are overly, uh, masculine: skulls, and smoke, and wood, and motor oil, and oud, and vikings.
That's not really me.
And look, if I'm honest, Hairy As's unpretentious branding really appealed to me. So I though I'd give them a go.
I'm so glad I did! I originally decided to just try Fresh Cut, as it sounded (sorry fellas!) as, uh, low scented as possible. But I'm also a coffee snob, so the mention of coffee in Morning Glory meant i had to try it.
I'm so glad I did. It was an unexpected surprise!
So, in my tin, the butter is a little bit grainy - I think that might be due to how cold it's been lately - but once you warm it up in your hands it's smooth as, and smells great (while not being overpowering, which is a massive plus for me).
I think I should've just gone with Morning Glory to start off with!

(It's also got me wishing i'd tried the oil too: I'm very set in my ways and love the oil I use after a lot of trial and error, but I think I'm willing to go outside my comfort zone for a product as great as this! Oh well: it'll be my next order!)

I used to be a Milkman facial hair product user for years but found their products not as great in recent times and thankfully found the Hairy As brand after searching for recommendations on Reddit (because of course I did) Imaginary-Meal-7011 listed Hairy As as one of the brand he had settled on.

After researching the company & seeing they are based in Adelaide (born & raised Adelaide boy here so biased) plus they engage in thoughtful social enterprises, I decided to give them a shot. I purchased the Sweet Enough Beard Oil & Beard Butter, plus the AP Beard balm & got zero complaints.

I love the oil for smoothing things out and making my mo shine, & I usually switch between the butter and the balm depending on what’s needed but mostly it’s the beard butter that is my regular go to. Happy to recommend to anyone who will listen and keen to rub out so I can try the other options too.

I also stupidly put the wrong delivery address in when I ordered having just moved & the team were super helpful in fixing my mistake & sending the order to the correct address with zero problems, thanks for the personal service Daryl, it was genuinely appreciated. Heads up that one of the attached pics has curls in my mo which are supported & held in place by Rufin Brothers Love Beard Wax which is also ace. The Hairy As products do not support Moustache styling holds like those curls so just flagging that in case it appears they do.

Love the Frankincense and Myrrh scent and beard butter feels so good in my beard, it's a light hold that I use when needing to look a little tidier than normal. Great product that cannot be faulted, another one knocked out of the park Hairy As!

Hairy As beard oil scents are totally unique in the beard oil world, the blending of the different scents is outstanding and the Fresh Cut Beard Oil is no different, I now have three different beard oils, Fresh Cut, Wise Men and Silver Fox and I honestly can't say which is my favourite, they are all brilliant.

I really love the quality of the ingredients of all the beard oils, and just as important, the fact that each of the Hairy As beard oil scents are totally unique in the beard oil world, the blending of the different scents is outstanding, the Wise Men Beard Oil is no different, excellent products.

Because I grabbed a couple of bottles of the Silver Fox Beard Oil I also picked up a container of Silver Fox Beard Butter.
Super happy with the oil and the beard butter is of the same high standard with the same subtle scent, a real winner!
Certainly a far better product than any butters or balms I’ve used previously.
Both Silver Fox products are exceptionally good and I can recommend them to anyone looking to try something light years better than the run of the mill oils , butters, and balms out there.

I have tried so many different brands of beard oil over the years and after a short period using them have been continually disappointed with scents that are overpowering or are not as described.
Whilst searching the web I found Hairy As, liked the sound of Silver Fox, subtly of the scent sounded great and it’s definitely made with excellent base and scent oils, so I thought why not give it a go.
Well what a surprise, Silver Fox actually does have top, middle and base notes, it’s subtle and feels great on my beard and skin.
The scent is very pleasant, it’s there but not overpowering and the scent lasts quite a while.
The pump dispenser is a great idea and definitely better than droppers.
Daryl you have knocked this out of the park and I can finally stop the search, I’ve found beard oil nirvana!
